HH-CAHPS
WHAT: HH-CAHPS is a new survey for Home Health Care Agencies

REQUIRED: Of all Medicare-certified home health care agencies with 60 or more patients per year

WHEN: Must start in 3rd Quarter 2010*. Survey results beginning with October 2010 visits will be publicly reported**.

WHY: All agencies will be motivated to focus on patient-centered care if results of the survey assessing patients’ perception of care provided are made public

HOW: All agencies MUST use an approved vendor and cannot conduct surveys themselves.

WHO: Press Ganey is the most experienced vendor in the industry and offers easy implementation and seamless service from conducting the survey to submitting the data on your behalf.

* Must start in 3rd Quarter 2010 to be eligible for October’s national implementation.

** Lose a portion of market basket update if you fail to participate.
